About

My name is Daniel Jordan and I'm a writer of novels, short stories and sometimes poetry, and according to a variety of people who aren't me and definitely haven't been paid off by me, because I'm a writer of novels, short stories and sometimes poetry and so obviously can't afford that kind of thing... according to those people, I'm pretty good at it. I love the fascinating ball of witless idiosyncrasies that is the English language with all my heart and enjoy nothing more than poking at it to see what comes out. Sometimes, when I do that, I end up writing books. I'm also a proof-reader and copy editor, mostly for academics; doing that kind of thing for the big folks kind of feels like using my powers for evil, but I do like being paid.

This website is my virtual face. It has more words on it than my physical face. It's mostly for my personal work, but professional items tend to pop up occasionally. There's a blog, if you can call it that, as well as links to the places online where you can find my work. If you want to know more I did answer the Proust Questionnaire once at the end of a book somewhere, but as is often the case with that thing, the answers I'd give now might well be very different...
