About

Hi, I'm Daniel. I write stuff. Mostly books, but also a few poems, usually as part of a duet, and on the topic of revolutions. The books tend to be about fantasy worlds, which means, of course, they're actually about reality.

People say I'm pretty good at writing, and you know that must be true because writers don't earn enough to bribe people.

I love English and books, literature and libraries, stories of all kinds told in all sorts of ways through all sorts of mediums. I've been a copy writer, editor and proofreader in time, mostly for academics, because it's nice to get paid, but that's always felt like using my powers for evil.

This website is my virtual face. It has more words on it than my physical face. I'll be honest, not a lot happens here. There's a blog, if you can call it that, and some links to places where my work exists.

I like maps and mountains, coffee and autumn, history and mythology, timepieces, sunshine and the bass. If you want to know more than that, I did the Proust Questionnaire again recently, but as is the nature of time, what I wrote there remains only true in that moment, and may never be so again. Don't @ me, basically.
